That song is exactly like this album. A must have.
It's definitely on the mellow side but great nonehteless. This is an incredible album.
I'd rather spend $10 on a half hour album that I'm going to listen to repeatedly rather than on a 2 hour long album that stinks and would better serve as a coaster on my coffee table. One of the biggest complaints people have is that the album is very short.
This is definitely true but it's about the quality, not the quantity. For comparison, listen to the track Just Breathe on Back Spacer, Pearl Jam's latest album.

This is one of those albums you just listen to over and over again - discovering new favorites as you go.
Heard about Eddie Vedders solo attempt back in 2007 when it came out. I have the "Into The Wild" DVD at home and can't wait to watch it after hearing the soundtrack. Sure enough I downloaded the ablum and can't stop listening to it.
But recently I heard "society" on satellite radio. awesome. Didn't think much of it at the time, as most solo attempts are not worthy of a listen.
It definatly has the raw Vedder sound and until today didn't realize that he plays all the instruments on the ablum. I was like, wow. that sounds like EV.
A true artist. GREAT ABLUM.
For individuals who are Eddie Vedder fans more than they are pearl jam fans, this soundtrack is excellent. He wrote almost all the tunes on it, played almost all the instruments, and even helped engineer and do cover art work. It's mellow, like the movie it was made for, but it's deep, reflective, full of raw emotion, and raging with passion for music-making that seems to come out of good musicians as they start to age beyond just making good show-cuts.Music for the Motion Picture Into the Wild
This cd was great. Loved all the songs and since I had seen the movie, enjoyed the "book" with the lyrics that the cd came it. I am a big Eddie Vedder fan and was not disappointed.
